I’m mostly a lyrics person, because lyrics come to me when I hear a chord progression or a little melody. But straight up poetry is a rarity for me. So I’ll try to do more poetry, but usually my version of poetry is my lyrics in my music. And in fact I started this poem into verse one and two of a song for this project I’m working on, where I write a song a week. I’ll post it Saturday if you’re interested! But I’m really happy you enjoyed it, and I will try my darnedest to write more!! :)

If I had you in the summer,
I would rid myself of sleep.
I’d be so busy loving you,
I wouldn’t need to dream.
And when you leave for college,
We do not have to speak.
Just knowing I once had you
Will be enough for me.
And if you’d take me in the winter,
I’d carry you inside.
Cover you in kisses,
And treat you as my bride.
I’d hold you till you looked at me,
And whispered your goodbyes.
Then I’d walk you to the airport
And pay for you,
your flight.
(i’ve never really written much poetry, so boom.)
21 and convinced, love doesn’t exist
Then you robbed me of my fragile world,
and I miss you, girl, more then anything in the world.
i hope next time you see me, you’d still like to kiss me.
“Hello Lifealert”
“Hello Stella, are you okay?”
“… is your refrigerator running?”
“Stella, we’re all getting a little tired of your bullshit”
(very short song i just wrote)
i’m out chasing all the things
that i’ll never see.
my friends are down to earth
and they tell me ‘let it be’.
but i’m as tall as mountains
yet small enough to see
every grain of sand
that’s breaking off of me.
revealing everything beneath;
a smaller and more fragile rock
buried deep below the sea.
don’t give up.
not just yet.
that you can’t talk to me.
Bee cuz mah momma be kewt, nd she be makin meh ;D
